Can you assist with our fundraising? Helping out at events?

We need people who can spare a few hours every now and again to help us with our plant sale, street collection, sponsored walk and selling tickets for events.

If you can spare a few hours each month to help us please contact us.

"A few hours of your time can make a real difference to people with Motor Neurone Disease"

the association visitor role

IT’S GOOD TO LISTEN!

Where would you be without your closest friends?

Who would share your highs and lows, lend support or just be there to listen?

As you are aware, a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease can be a frightening and isolating experience.  Sometimes all that people need is a friendly face and a listening ear to make a real difference to their lives.

We need people like you to help make that difference.  We are currently seeking sociable, caring people to volunteer as Association Visitors (AVs)

AVs play an incredibly important role, providing friendship, advice and support to people affected by MND, both on the phone, via email and face-to-face.

As an AV you will work as part of a close-knit local team, offering a vital link between people with MND, their local Branch and other sources of support.

In return for your time, you’ll make some wonderful new friends and receive free training, which has won national recognition.

Linda has been volunteering as an AV for over twelve years and commented ‘it’s inspiring to see how people deal with having MND and how everyone works together supporting families and how important it is to live for today.’

For more information on how you can become an AV please contact our Visitor Co-ordinator Linda Ingham     Tel: 07798891223 or email: linda_ingham@hotmail.co.uk

or our Regional Care Development Adviser Annemeike Fox on 0845 3751831 or email her at annemieke.fox@mndassociation.org
